Dreams in Motion Adaptive Sports Programs

Dreams in Motion adaptive sports programs were created to advance the health and well-being of children and adults with mobility challenges or visual impairments through organized sports and activities. Most of our programs are recreational in nature though we do seek out expert coaches and offer competitive opportunities and events for those looking to pursue Paralympic dreams. If you have the will, we have the way.

In addition, Dreams in Motion programs are designed for all skill levels and no experience is necessary. We seek to provide a safe, inclusive experience for our participants, athletes, and volunteers that helps them to appreciate teamwork and enjoy friendly competition.

What are Paralympic Sports Programs?

Paralympic training and sports events are designed for athletes with mobility limitations to play and compete with similar athletes using specialized equipment, classification, and trials. As a branch of the U.S. Olympic Committee, Paralympic athletes will compete and train to participate in Paralympic Games which take place just after the Olympic Games every four years. Each sport has specific rules, classifications, and coaching. Additional information can be found at the U.S. Paralympics web site: http://www.teamusa.org/us-paralympics.

What does it look like?

For any given sport, Dreams in Motion partners with area sports arenas and venues throughout the Bismarck/Mandan communities.
