Dreams in Motion Adaptive Sports Programs are held throughout the year and open to all children and adults with mobility challenges or visual impairments. Brief descriptions of our current programs follow; however, to view upcoming programs or events, please visit our activities calendar. Downhill Skiing - Hopes Vision Day on the Hill
Started in 2010 as a Girl Scout Project by Hope Reis, Hope's Vision adaptive downhill ski program is one of our favorite annual events. Hope's Vision "Day on the Hill" will take place at Huff Hills Ski Area just south of Mandan on February 22, 2020. In addition to this annual event, assisted ski opportunities during the season are offered through Huff Hills with a one-week notice to ensure the availability of equipment and volunteers. Email us for more information. As long as there is snow and Huff Hills is open, we will work to provide you with opportunities to ski!
Wheelchair Basketball
Dreams in Motion offers wheelchair basketball activities throughout the year. For the last several years, the program has included a 3-day basketball camp mid-summer, open gym time, and exhibition play at various sporting events. Special thanks to all the teams, coaches, volunteers and sponsors who make our annual March Mobility Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on March 29, 2020.
Sled Hockey
One of our most popular programs, the Dreams in Motion sled hockey program is made possible through partnerships with local hockey programs and venues. The sled hockey program has benefited greatly through partnerships with Prairie Grit in Minot to offer additional ice time throughout the year.
Sign up today for our Summer Sled Hockey Camp in August!
Track and Field
Congratulations to all of our 2019 Track and Field participants. Practices kicked off in June leading up to our second annual Dakota Para Games in June. Once more coach Yvette Matthews designed and managed our race and throwing programs using national standards to assist those seeking to qualify and advance to regional and national track meets and teams. North Dakota had 8 athletes compete in the 2019 Adaptive Sports USA Youth Nationals in Eden Prairie. Results will be posted soon to the track and field page!

Archery
Dreams in Motion is so pleased to announce we will expand our Archery program in 2019! We hosted our first sanctioned Adaptive Sports archery competition as part of the 2019 Dakota Para Games. If you are interested in participating or learning more, please email our coach, Yvette Matthews, at ymatthews5595@gmail.com.
Tennis
The Dreams in Motion tennis program is offered through the support of the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center in Bismarck. In 2019, USPTA-certified head tennis pro Rod Morasch will work with participants on skills development, practice rounds, and games. All ages and skills levels are welcome and equipment is provided. Practices are likely to take place in October so check back soon!
Dance Rehearsals and Performance
Each year, Dreams in Motion hosts dance rehearsals in preparation of a partnership performance with one of the local dance studios. In recent years, Coach Lacey has partnered with Just for Kix for the company's Spring recital and performance. No experience is necessary and our volunteers and dancers have a fantastic time. Thank you everyone for a wonderful time at our 2019 dance practices and performances. If we are able to sneak more in, we will let you know
