Growing Our Adult Adaptive Sports Program

In recent years, Dreams in Motion adaptive sports programs have been expanded to include adults of all ages. In 2018, Dreams in Motion was fortunate to receive a generous grant from the Bismarck-Mandan Community Foundation to help us do just that. All skill levels are welcome and we provide the necessary adaptive sports equipment. We are also working to include additional adult programs for mobility-challenged veterans. If anyone is interested in helping us develop programs specific to military needs, please contact us. Though most of our programs are recreational in nature, we do seek out expert coaches in order to offer competitive, nationally sanctioned opportunities and events for those looking to pursue Paralympic  dreams or national competition.

If you know a veteran who might be interested in working with us or just coming to learn more about adaptive sports opportunities, please spread the work or email us at dreamsinmotioninc@yahoo.com. In addition, if you are an organization serving North Dakota veterans or mobility-challenged adults, please reach out to us for possible collaboration or partnerships.

What are Paralympic Sports Programs?

Paralympic training and sports events are designed for athletes with mobility limitations to play and compete with similar athletes using specialized equipment, classification, and trials. As a branch of the U.S. Olympic Committee, Paralympic athletes will compete and train to participate in Paralympic Games which take place just after the Olympic Games every four years. Each sport has specific rules, classifications, and coaching. Additional information can be found at the U.S. Paralympics web site: http://www.teamusa.org/us-paralympics.
