Executive Director

The Dreams in Motion Board of Directors is looking for an Executive Director! This position will be an independent contract position working approximately 5-10 hours weekly. The Executive Director position would include the following:

Volunteer Coordination and Event Planning:

  1. Help develop and plan events.

  2. Find dates and locations for events and complete the necessary paperwork for each site.

  3. Coordinate athletes, volunteers, and transportation of equipment for each activity or event.

  4. Prepare and maintain a volunteer and athlete list.

  5. Track volunteer hours.

  6. Follow up with athletes and volunteers as needed.

 

Fundraising:

  1. Research, write, and submit eligible grant applications on behalf of Dreams in Motion.

  2. Help develop and plan fundraising events.

 

Marketing:

  1. Update the Dreams in Motion website and social media accounts as requested.

  2. Contact television, radio, and print media with potential new stories.

  3. Act as a spokesperson to the public or media on behalf of Dreams in Motion as requested.

 

Other Duties:

  1. Attend monthly Dreams in Motion board meetings

  2. Cultivate, maintain, and complete correspondences as appropriate with donors, potential donors, athletes and families, and volunteers.

  3. Create materials for various events, invitations, flyers, etc.

  4. Manage email and phone correspondence as requested.

  5. Other clerical duties as requested by the Board of Directors.
